at the end of my rope

i once said
"throw me a rope"
because i'm about to drift away
this isn't an attempt to attract attention
this is my heart and soul talking
yearning
for love and
thirsting
for God's approval and touch
not getting
what i feel i need
but isn't what we have what we really need?
yet, i am so discontent. so discontent with my life and with myself.
